  • Additionally, I manage the financial responsibility for two grants and an international PhD Summer School project.
  • I also supervise a PhD project on Physics-Informed Neural Networks at the department of Computer Science and report on its budget.

  • Solid background in artificial intelligence techniques such as supervised, self-supervised & unsupervised learning, reinforcement learning, transformers, symbolic AI, planning, evolutionary algorithms and physics-informed machine learning and hybrid-AI - acquired through 4+ years of research experience in the area through a variety of scientific and application projects as well as supervision of the work of others.
  • 4+ years of experience in application of AI techniques and hybrid-AI such as image recognition, video analysis, expert systems, recommender systems, autonomous systems, decision-making assistance, mechanical and electrical systems, chemical engineering, material design, traffic control etc. - obtained through collaborative projects with industry as well as other well-established engineering research groups and in addition to that supervision of short term projects.
  • Good understanding of validity concepts such as trustworthiness of AI, verification, validation, execution in systems, legal and ethical aspects of scientific machine learning - which are acquired through constant dialogue within academia and society and constant improvement and discussion on the research subject I am working on. In addition to that some of the aspects were very relevant to my start-up work when we were working on data science projects with clients.
  • Consolidated technical expertise in artificial intelligence and scientific machine learning shown through many years of experience in research and management of relevant projects on AI applications in industry and engineering verified by peer-reviewed scientific publications and production of teaching material on the topic.
  • Technical expertise in engineering and deployment of industrial applications - through projects with Hitachi Energy as well during 3 years entrepreneurial journey on software development with data analytics.
  • Solid 9+ years of expertise in data structures, data preprocessing, and data management - since the start of my PhD degree I have worked on a variety of complex data sets and used multitude of techniques.
  • Understanding of software engineering systems - obtained through own company experience where we were developing an API based software system for operation and control of large power networks.
