- Operational Readiness Management (ORM) is responsible for ensuring the organisation is fully prepared to receive and operate new systems or products from day one. ORM coordinates and plans with the project team for asset handover, ensuring that all criteria for acceptance and delivery are met, and that new systems integrate seamlessly into existing operations. Currently involved in projects such as: sulphide crusher relocation, new primary crusher for oxides, desalination plant, concentrator development, enhanced early-stage chloride leaching (LCHT), early-stage chloride leaching (LCT – secondary sulphides), demonstration plant, long-term chloride leaching (primary sulphides), and waste dump leaching phases 5 and 9.

- Responsible for projects LCHT, LCT, demonstration plant, and long-term chloride leaching. Duties include improving engineering designs, construction oversight, ensuring timelines and budget compliance to deliver project value, particularly in the LCHT leaching system.

- Facilitates organisational learning transfer from LCHT implementation to LCT and long-term chloride leaching.

- Reviews engineering for early-stage chloride leaching and adapts construction design based on LCHT experience.

- Supports operations through SICPP superintendent, optimising leaching, SX, and EW processes by recommending controls and testing protocols.

- Participates in cross-functional DRT teams (Operations, GRMD, Projects) to evaluate the feasibility and benefits of early chloride leaching to reduce costs and enhance copper production, ahead of official project implementation.

- Assesses metallurgical tests on DRT ores using chloride leaching and recommends KPIs for process control.

- Supports the identification and analysis of enablers for early chloride leaching implementation in DRT.

- Provides technical consultancy and executes tasks related to planning, design, modelling, and projections (short- and long-term), enabling effective production activities under early-stage chloride leaching.

- Plans operational strategies for LX-SX-EW plants to ensure operational efficiency and performance.

- Defines frameworks for PND (New Development Plan) construction, integrating new data into mid- and long-term planning processes involving chloride leaching.

- Developed monthly and annual production program's for copper sulfide ore through chloride leaching.

- Controlled and audited copper production program's, monitoring metallurgical parameters to optimize performance and ensure target achievement. Responsible for metallurgical accounting and production reporting.

- Supervised compliance with production plans via monthly metallurgical balances.

- Analyses and synthesized process information using statistical controls, ensuring data accuracy and reliability.

- Proposed process optimisations by studying parameters and equipment performance, validating improvements through metallurgical testing.

- Managed the Metallurgical Laboratory, ensuring quality in sample extraction, mechanical preparation, and analysis. Coordinated third-party testing.

- Supported chloride leaching pilot tests on chalcopyrite ore conducted by AMSA at Centinela.

- Coordinated Tie-ins, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup for Encuentro Oxides Project.

- Calculated ramp-up, performance, and maintenance program's for Encuentro Oxides.

- Simulated ore flow in OXE to support redesign of hoppers and chutes for wear and capacity improvements.

- Standardize operations in hydrometallurgy plants, particularly in crushing and screening areas.

- Provided operational and metallurgical modelling solutions for process design and high-standard recommendations to operations.

- Ensured application of metallurgical best practices and industry standards in production planning and execution with a focus on safety, asset efficiency, and environmental protection.

- Oversaw operational control, standardization, and implemented improvements to meet production targets.

- Supported identification and execution of projects to optimize hydrometallurgical processes at Centinela Oxides.

- Acted as Process Management Superintendent substitute.

Provided direct advice to the plant operations management team with the primary objective of achieving the mineral processing target of 131,000 tpd. Reported directly to the Plant Manager.

- Diagnosed and developed plans to bring the dry area plant to operational regime, reviewing personnel competencies, operational discipline, process complexity, and interaction with other areas.

- Actively participated in developing new professionals in leadership, personnel management, safety, environmental care, organizational management, and technical skills.

- Led mobile crushing project, including installation of two additional mobile crushing lines.
