It is a compatible module with your existing ECC 6.05, it has basically two scenarios while implementation Classic Scenario and Extended Classic Scenario, if your legacy system is ECC and you want to Automate your Purchase Process then you should go for Classic Scenario, if you want SRM as a standalone system then it is better to go for Extended Classic Scenario.
